Citibank cards used to carry price protection: buy something, and if the price dropped within a set window, the difference was refundable. Almost nobody claimed it: the process was tedious enough that the benefit went mostly unused.
This system closed that gap end to end. It tracked prices across Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, and other major retailers at the scale of millions of products, watched each customer’s recent purchases (with their consent) for a qualifying drop, and filed the price-protection claim on Citibank’s site automatically, from detection through submission and fulfillment.
